One of our long-standing borrowers approached us for development finance to fund a detached new-build property in West Byfleet, Surrey.
Planning permission was secured for a large five-bedroom home on a subdivided plot. The new home was to be built adjacent to a 1920s Grade II-listed cottage, and was therefore designed in a sympathetic manner, blending traditional ‘Arts and Crafts’ styling with a modern, highly specified interior spread over three floors.
The new home was to sit in a prime location, with the village of West Byfleet within walking distance and the famous Brooklands motor racing circuit located just a couple of miles away.
