In November we hosted our first large-scale industry event since the pandemic began in March 2020

More than 100 senior professionals from the south coast property sector gathered at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium for an MSP Capital networking lunch and afternoon.

Guests including owners and directors of development companies, brokers, valuers, estate agents and solicitors travelled from as far afield as London, Cheltenham and Plymouth.

The venue was perfect given our status as principal partner and shirt sponsor for the EFL Championship league leaders.

As well as the opportunity to discuss property market trends, the agenda featured a stadium tour and question-and-answer session with Scott Parker, AFC Bournemouth’s Head Coach, and centre-back Gary Cahill.

Adam Tovey, Valuation Director at MSP Capital, said: “It was brilliant to see so many of our peers and contacts from the property industry come together again and talk face-to-face.

“We thank AFC Bournemouth for helping us host such a fantastic event.”

The event raised more than £1,300 for Dorset-based children’s hospice Julia’s House, a cause supported by MSP Capital over many years.

Caroline Attreed, Julia’s House Corporate Fundraiser, and Mike Bartlett, Deputy Chief Executive, both expressed thanks for the funds raised and the opportunity to discuss the charity’s vital work for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families.

Caroline said: “MSP Capital are an incredible supporter of Julia’s House. The team is hugely supportive and extremely passionate about helping us be there for the local children and families that need us the most. From clocking up miles walking on a virtual team challenge to providing football shirts for some of our children, nothing is ever too much.

“It has been a challenging year, especially in the business community, but the whole team has made such an effort to continue to support Julia’s House. They make a big difference to the families for whom our care is a lifeline and we value and are immensely grateful for all they do.”

Adrian Elshaw, Director of Construction at Beaufort Homes, said the afternoon was “a great opportunity to touch base and share ideas with our contemporaries as well as getting a behind-the-scenes look at AFC Bournemouth.”

He added: “We have had funding in various forms from MSP over the past few years and they have been brilliant to deal with.

“They are not only swift with appraisals and offers of finance, they are super-efficient with processing funding throughout any project. Thanks for your continued support and a great afternoon.”
