At MSP Capital, we believe in making a meaningful impact in our communities. That’s why we supported the Strictly Extravaganza, a dazzling ballroom dance competition organised by Forest Holme Hospice. This extraordinary event raised over £80,000 for vital palliative care services in Dorset.

As the reception drinks sponsor for the gala held at the Lighthouse Poole arts centre, we witnessed firsthand the incredible energy and enthusiasm of the night. With a sold-out audience of around 350 attendees, the atmosphere was electric as ten dedicated participants showcased their passion for dance, paired with professional dancers who guided them through months of lessons and rehearsals.

The competition culminated in an exciting evening where a panel of esteemed judges, including dance champion Jason Edwards, selected Tom Redman and his partner Diana Coojacar as the winners. Tom’s performance was particularly poignant, as he danced in memory of his beloved wife, Clare, who received care from Forest Holme Hospice.

Kirsty Perks, Forest Holme’s Corporate and Community Fundraiser, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming community support and the inclusivity of the event. “We are so grateful to MSP Capital for supporting the Strictly Extravaganza as part of their ongoing partnership with us. Your support is vital in helping us continue our mission to provide compassionate care to over 30,000 patients and families since our founding 30 years ago.”

Eleanor Collins, from MSP Capital’s Community Committee, echoed this sentiment: “Forest Holme is one of our four core charities, and its Strictly Extravaganza has captured the hearts of many in our community. We congratulate all the dancers for their fantastic performances and applaud the efforts to raise such an impressive amount of money for a cause that matters.”

The event also garnered recognition from notable dance figures, including Strictly Come Dancing judges Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse, further highlighting its significance in our local community.

At MSP Capital, we are committed to supporting initiatives that not only bring joy but also address critical community needs. To learn more about Forest Holme Hospice and how you can contribute, visit www.forestholmehospice.org.uk.
