Records broken

A record-breaking amount of money was raised this year at our third annual Volleyball Championship for our core charities Lewis Manning and Julias House.
With help from our partners at Deep Dish, Bournemouth’s sandy beach saw teams from local companies go head-to-head in a thrilling 6-a-side all-day tournament.

Representatives from all across the property sector came together in full force to showcase their support and, skills on the sand.
Despite the wind and rain, energy on the courts remained high as teams faced their opponents in knock-out stages, battling for their spot in the final.

An electric performance

In a nail-biting final, accounting and consulting firm RSM were neck and neck with MSP Capital itself, who narrowly claimed the win with a score of 18-17 at the last whistle.

Founder of Deep Dish and , ex- Team GB athlete, Jake Sheaf said: I admire how much MSP Capital do for the charities they work with.
Putting this event on is a massive task and they bring a friendly vibe to the venue, and everyone involved.
“There was an amazing atmosphere with everyone so energetic and happy to bond as teams and take part in some really fun sport.
“And there’s a higher purpose than just beach volleyball, raising significant amounts for their charities.”

Our commitment

As a commitment to our internal ESG strategy ‘Foundations for better futures’, each year, we partner with four core charities to showcase our ongoing support for the local community. This year we are delighted to announce that £20,000 has been raised for the two charities due to the Volleyball event.

Caroline Attreed, Corporate Fundraiser for Julia’s House, which provides vital respite care for families of children with life-limiting conditions, said:
“The amount raised is incredible and will make a massive difference. Only eight per cent of our funding comes from government, so we rely on donation and fundraising days like today.”

The donations raised from this event will be split equally between the Dorset based charities, Julias House and Lewis-Manning.

Likewise, Fiona Harwood, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Lewis-Manning, said:

“As a charity based in Poole, we are so grateful to MSP Capital for the support they provide. The funds raised will go towards the families and patients we look after in our day hospice and our hubs in Bournemouth, Poole and Purbeck.

The money will contribute to vital services such as our family support and bereavement teams, clinical services, and complementary therapies.
Without support like this, we wouldn’t be able to run our charity. It’s not just the financial side, putting on events like this helps raise awareness of the amazing work that charities do.”
