At MSP Capital, we believe in bringing people together not just to do business—but to build meaningful connections, support wellbeing, and champion important causes.

That’s exactly what we set out to do at our recent ‘Property and Paradise’ ladies networking lunch, on the 2nd July and we’re thrilled to say it was a vibrant success.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Bournemouth’s West Cliff at The Nici Hotel & Spa, more than 50 women from across the property industry joined us for a tropical-themed afternoon of inspiration, creativity, conversation and charity.

With professionals ranging from developers and surveyors to estate agents and legal experts, the event was a relaxed and empowering space to connect with likeminded women in our industry.

One of the most powerful moments of the day was hearing from Erin Kennedy OBE, a world champion rower, Paralympian and breast cancer campaigner. Erin shared her deeply moving story of resilience and determination after receiving a cancer diagnosis at the age of 29. Her words left a lasting impression on all of us—reminding us of the strength that lies in vulnerability, and the importance of open conversations around mental health.

Our Finance Director, Nicky Hollamby, commented:

“Erin’s inspiring words captured everyone’s attention and complemented the uplifting tone of the event. We designed it as a meaningful opportunity for women in our industry to network in a relaxed summer setting while supporting Dorset Mind as an amazing local charity. Our aim was to celebrate women, their creativity and the importance of awareness around good mental health. We’re thrilled it went so well.”

To raise funds for Dorset Mind, a brilliant community mental health charity, we hosted a mystery tombola filled with generous prizes donated by The Nici Hotel, Langham Wine Estate, and The Handmade Christmas Company. We’re delighted to be able to give back to a cause so closely aligned with our values.

Adding an artistic twist to the day, live illustrator Georgia Brent captured moments from the event in beautiful hand-drawn pieces, while Hillview Flowers brought our tropical theme to life with stunning floral arrangements. And of course, thanks to Sam Davis Photography, every smile and special moment was beautifully captured to remember.

Events like this remind us why community matters. We’re proud to support and celebrate the inspiring women in our industry and continue important conversations around mental health and wellbeing.
