At MSP Capital, we believe in bringing people together not just to do business—but to build meaningful connections.

That’s exactly what we set out to do at our recent 45th Anniversary Party held at Scaplen’s Court on April 16th 2026, and we are pleased to say it was a great success.

Set in the medieval surrounds of Scaplen’s Court in Poole, the theme of the event was ‘built to last’ which suited the 14th century building perfectly.

CEO Leigh Bartlett opened proceedings with a brief history of MSP Capital which started around the kitchen table of its founders back in 1981. Now with a team of nearly 60 and a £500 million funding facility from JP Morgan.

One of the highlights of the party was James Edwards of Acorn Saddlery who embossed hand-made leather coasters with the initials of each guest as a gift for them to take away. The coasters had been made with off-cuts of leather used to make saddles, so really were ‘built to last’.

Molecular Magic provided the catering, introducing an element of theatre to delicious canapés that had been created to represent the built to last theme. So goats cheese was made to look like cement and beef fillet to resemble wood.

The Gershwin Gang, a local swing jazz band, provided the music while compère Paul Kinvig entertained guests with amusing anecdotes.
